At SSG we are passionate about value investing in special situations. Employing a fundamental-driven and value-oriented investment approach, we target situations in which assets are afflicted by pricing dislocations and aim to acquire them at a significant discount to their intrinsic value.

Our team’s relationships throughout the region give us access to a large number of potential investment opportunities and we perform on the ground research, coupled with meticulous analysis, to identify appropriate investments.

Our investments include situations of financial distress, where SSG may acquire loans, securities or other claims. Through effective asset management and financial restructuring we are able to unlock the value from these assets. SSG may also provide private financing to companies with specific capital needs, such as growth, acquisition or restructuring. We typically structure these investments to target equity-like returns with credit-like downside protection.

SSG’s pool of committed capital gives us the ability to work with investee companies to create value over the optimal investment horizon. And with our team’s unique combination of local knowledge, experience and relationships, we seek to invest in Asia-Pacific excluding Japan with a focus on Greater China, India and South-East Asia.
